The Kraakdoos (Cracklebox in English) is an electronic circuit with a number (ususally 6) contacts on the outside on it\'s box. When the player touches one or more of the contacts he becomes part of the instrument and the box starts making noise.

The Kraakdoos was made by Michel Waisvisz and Geert Hamelberg in the 1960\'s, Waisvisz improved it when he joined the STEIM foundation in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
