Disques Photosoniques

Disques Photosoniques use the Photosonic Synthesis to produce sound. The source of the sound is light. Imaginary waveforms are drawn in circular rings on transparent disks and a light is send via the disk to a photocell directly connected to an audio amplifier. Manual movement of small light sources and also various optic filters in the path of the light beams allow very precise and effective modulations of tone, timbre, and intensity.
